As the Utah football program prepares to honor the lives of Ty Jordan and Aaron Lowe by retiring their No. 22 jersey Saturday during its game against UCLA, the Pac-12 Conference is honoring Jordan and Lowe as well.
All five home Pac-12 teams Saturday — Arizona State, Oregon, Cal, USC and Stanford — painted their 22-yard lines red to honor Jordan and Lowe.
To honor Ty & Aaron as @Utah_Football retires #22, every #Pac12FB home field today has painted their hash mark at the 22-yard line with @utahathletics' red.

Following the deaths of Jordan and Lowe, Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham expressed his desire to see No. 22 retired.
“No. 22, you won’t see anyone wear No. 22 in this program again, at least as long as I’m the head coach,” Whittingham said. “We’d like to see that retired permanently. That’s our wish. We’d like to see it happen.”
Utah will officially retire the No. 22 during the break between the first and second quarter at Rice-Eccles Stadium. It will be the first retired number in program history.
Utah takes on UCLA at 8 p.m. MT on ESPN.
