While the Utah State Aggies were in the process of beating Hawaii on Saturday afternoon to become bowl eligible, they also got a win on the recruiting trail.

During the game, defensive back Jordan “JD” Drew of Booker T. Washington High in Tulsa, Oklahoma, announced his pledge to the program via Twitter as part of the Class of 2022.

Drew is listed by 247 Sports at 6 feet and 170 pounds. The site has him listed as a wide receiver, although he plays defensive back. According to the site, Drew also holds scholarship offers from Army, Houston Baptist and Missouri State.

According to a story by Tulsa World’s Bryce McKinnis on Saturday, Drew is the cousin of current Aggie defensive back Kyle Mayberry, who transferred to Utah State last offseason from Kansas.

Drew becomes the 21st known prospect to commit to the Aggies as part of their 2022 recruiting class but the first since August after a wild string of pledges during the summer.
