Utah coronavirus updates: The latest COVID-19 news and case counts

Utah has seen 567,665 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 3,325 total deaths as of Wednesday, according to the Utah Department of Health. That’s an increase of 1,531 cases since Tuesday. School-aged kids account for 330 of today’s newly announced cases. Twelve new deaths were reported.

  • Total number of COVID-19 cases: 567,665
  • Total reported people tested: 3,799,714
  • Vaccines administered: 3,874,399
  • Total COVID-19 hospitalizations: 24,791
  • Current COVID-19 hospitalizations: 571
  • Total COVID-19 deaths: 3,325
  • Single-day high for reported cases: 4,672 (Dec. 31)
  • Single-day high for reported deaths: 30 (Dec. 17 and Jan. 21)

Globally, the novel coronavirus pandemic has now infected 250,715,502 and killed 5,062,106 people as of Wednesday, according to the World Health Organization.
