Actor Chris Noth, 67, is facing sexual assault allegations and his since been dropped from the “The Equalizer”
Chris Noth reappeared on television with HBO Max’s “Sex and the City” sequel — “And Just Like That” — but his comeback was triggering for some.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, two women allege they were sexually assaulted by the actor, after seeing promotions and press releases for the HBO Max show, in which Noth resumes his role as Mr. Big.
The two women do not know each other but recounted the events from 2004 and 2015 to The Hollywood Reporter. The two women don’t know each other and chose to remain anonymous.
A third accuser has also came forward and gave an account to The Daily Beast.
Noth sent a statement concerning the allegations, per The Hollywood Reporter:
- “The accusations against me made by individuals I met years, even decades, ago are categorically false. These stories could’ve been from 30 years ago or 30 days ago — no always means no — that is a line I did not cross. The encounters were consensual. It’s difficult not to question the timing of these stories coming out. I don’t know for certain why they are surfacing now, but I do know this: I did not assault these women.”
Since the allegations, he has been dropped from “The Equalizer,” an American crime drama television series and will no longer film new episodes of the series, per The New York Times.
- Per the report, Peloton, which came out with a viral advertisement with Noth, said: “Every single sexual assault accusation must be taken seriously,” adding, “We were unaware of these allegations when we featured Chris Noth in our response to HBO’s reboot.”
